Permanent Residency in Saskatchewan for Workers, Professionals, & Entrepreneurs
Under the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), a foreign national can apply for Canadian permanent residence if they qualify under one of four categories, as a farm owner/operator, worker with Saskatchewan work experience and job offer, experienced international skilled worker, and entrepreneur intending to start a business in Saskatchewan.
Farm Owners and Operators: This category requires an applicant to demonstrate experience in farming as well as the needed capital in money and assets to invest in a farming operation to be bought and ran in the province of Saskatchewan. Foreign Workers with Saskatchewan Work Experience and Job Offer: Candidates can apply under this program if they are currently working and living in Saskatchewan on a valid work permit; and would like to apply for permanent residency through the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP). This category includes, health professionals, hospitality sector workers, long-haul truck drivers, and students who are graduates of a recognized post-secondary academic institution in Canada. International Skilled Workers: Applicants must have an employment offer from a Saskatchewan employer for a skilled occupation in Saskatchewan. International skilled workers can still apply if they are highly-skilled in an in-demand occupation in Saskatchewan but don't have a job offer in Saskatchewan. They can also apply if they are in the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) Express Entry Pool. Entrepreneurs: Under this category of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) applicants are required to demonstrate the ability to establish, acquire or partner in a business in Saskatchewan and be actively involved in operating it while residing in Saskatchewan. In general and while the application for permanent residence is in process with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC), and provided that the application was first accepted by the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), meaning the applicant has been approved for nomination, SNIP can provide a letter of support to help the applicant obtain a temporary work permit to be approved by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). This step will allow the nominee to start the process of settling permanently in Saskatchewan along with family members and dependents if applicable.
